从2007年8月起， 每逢星期将会有两天活动(周日傍晚及周末) 。
请放心，从9月至11月， 我们会让你安心地为考试做好准备。
在11月份，你将有机呈现自己的作品，
12月份还能到国外郊游!
2008年1月份我们将在戏剧盒主办的”旅程’08” 中呈现一场公开演出，6月至7月份还可以在滨海艺术中心向众人施展才华!
这一连串精彩的活动，一年只需付120元。

From August 2007, lessons will be conducted twice a week, once on a weekday evening and once during the weekend. Fret not, for there will be a study break between September to November. In November, there will be a short presentation prior to our December Youth Expedition Programme (YEP) overseas trip. Our first official showcase will be held in January 2008 during the Drama Box Community Tour '08. A second official showcase is tentatively scheduled between June to July 2008 at the Esplanade Theatre Studio (proposed). Every selected member will be required to pay a minimal fee of S$120 annually.

Youth Incubator will be housed at *Scape - an exciting youth space seeking to promote, showcase and nurture young talents and interests.
*Scape’s year long collaboration with NeNeMas consists of provisions of facilities and administrative support

Orientation --> research and learning from the field and the experts
• Members will research and present findings on various topics once every month in Group Meetings.
• Field Trips, Interviews and Surveys
• Talks by scholars, experts will be held weekly: Topics including: Western and Eastern Philosophy, Sociological Studies, Politics, Critical Theory, Social Work, Psychology, History, Arts History, etc.
• These talks are open to the public.

Artistic --> exploring artistic forms to communicate ideas and thoughts
• Weekly workshops that cover different art forms - Drama, Visual Arts, Installation, New Media, Film, Sound etc
• Monthly exploratory workshop to use these Artistic Forms to communicate Ideas and Thoughts
• Presentation of Work to Public in Community Venues and Public Theatre, locally and internationally

Organisation --> the ability to effect changes through organisational work
• Learning Management, Organisation and Communication Skills from Entrepreneurs and Arts Companies
• Organising and Managing Projects

有关 *scape

*scape is a 2 ha youth community space located in Orchard, comprising the 1.2 ha site beside Orchard Cineleisure, the Youth Park & Youth Centre, and the Somerset Skate Park.

*scape is essentially a space for the youth, by the youth. With programmes and its facilities available for participation and rent respectively to promote, showcase and nurture youth talents and interests. Currently, plans are underway to develop the vacant 1.2 ha site into a facility for our youth to enjoy and be involved in a myriad of activities. These include sports, performances, entrepreneurship opportunities, community events and recreational programmes.

To involve our youth in the creation of their own space, a consultation exercise was conducted in 2005 to gather their ideas on *scape. In total, over 2,200 responses were gathered from this exercise.

The ideas consolidated from the responses were distilled into six conceptual spaces as the concept plan for *scape to reflect the youth’ interests and desires. These six conceptual spaces are:

1. The Street + Market:
• a street to promote street culture where fashion, street art & performances (graffiti, hip-hop etc) can happen.
• a place for youth to test the market with their ideas and inventions, and also a food place.

2. The Warehouse:
• a sheltered space for youth activities like dance, theatre, exhibitions.

3. The Playground:
• an outdoor space for youth activities like skateboarding, movie screenings, hang-outs etc. This will include the skatepark.

4. The Grid:
• a place for cyber culture to take root, and also a surfer’s paradise.
This will include IT & gaming labs for digital imaging, game design and training.

5. The Cache:
• a proposed library, together with a gallery and screening room

6. The Studio:
• a studio for music creation and band practices

关于艺树人

艺树人是本地剧场戏剧盒旗下的青年部，由12位充满热忱的年轻人组成的团体。我们希望能通过戏剧对各阶层的民众有更深入的了解和联系。

艺树人的创立是为了提供青年一个多方面训练的平台。通过三年的培训，艺树人希望能培育处一群拥有文化和社会意识的本地戏剧实践者。

我们使用一个名为O-A-O-R （ Orientation – Artistic – Organisation – Regeneration/ 定向 – 艺术性 – 组织 – 再生 ）的模式，让青年们得到的不仅是艺术方面的训练，也学习组织群体和制作管理的技能。除此之外，他们会接触到各种类的戏剧，例如论坛剧场、新闻剧场等等。他们同时还会接受其他艺术形体的培训，如音乐和多媒体。

除了提高社会问题的认识和讨论，艺树人希望能质问及挑战人们的思维，并改变大众对低下层或边缘族群的一些刻板观念，让单方向的独白转化成双方都能参与的对话。

2012 年将会是第一届艺树人青年的最后一年。我们将会在毕业前呈现一部作品，而灵感来至于高行健的《车站》。这作品会是艺树人培训三年来的精髓，也是我们对于原作和现今社会的反思。

About ARTivate

ARTivate - the youth wing of local theatre company Drama Box - is made up of a group of 12 passionate youths who aims to reach out to the community through the arts.

ARTivate was first established with the aim to provide a platform for youths who want to explore and gain all-rounded insight into theatre. Through a three-year program, ARTivate hopes to nurture a group of youths into cultured and socially aware theatre-practitioners in Singapore.

Using an O-A-O-R (Orientation-Artistic-Organization-Regeneration) model, these youths are trained not only artistically but also in organizational skills and production management. They will be exposed to different forms of theatre such as Forum Theatre and Newspaper Theatre. They will also be trained in other art forms such as music and multimedia.

Besides bringing awareness to the themes explored, ARTivators hopes to question, probe or even challenge minds. They want to engage audiences in discussion – to turn monologues into dialogues.

As 2012 will the last year of the pioneer batch of ARTivate youths, they will be putting up a piece of performance, Bus Stop, inspired by “Bus Stop” written by renowned playwright, Gao Xing Jian. This performance will be a collation of the trainings the youths had undergone for the past 3 years, as well as a critical perspective and evaluation of the script, in reference to the current society the youths are in.
